July – August 2015
is a fun, powerful way to meditate through movement, to connect with yourself and your higher power, and to release!
We will dance with intention, we will dance carefree, we will dance with fierceness, to a wide variety of musical styles. This class creates a space for you to let yourself go and move into a new story, cleansing negative emotions and thoughts. You don’t need to be a dancer – I will guide you, the music will guide you, your own dance will guide you.
Freedom, expression, grounding, sensuality, release – these are the gifts that are waiting for you… Come journey with me!

The Paradoxes of Peace
Serenity as the Foundation of Algonquin (Native American) Spiritual Practice
a workshop with Evan Pritchard 7- 9 PM
In this lecture/experiential and healing workshop, Native American Studies professor philosopher and ceremonialist Evan Pritchard will talk about the importance of inner tranquility as the gateway to Algonquin spiritual practices, including Native American meditation techniques, and ways to cope with stress. As causes of stress are both inward and outward we will discuss the paradoxes of seeking peace in an unjust world. Balance is the key; we strive to achieve acceptance of the world as it is while engaging it and trying to make a difference for those who come after us along the red road. We then become peaceful warriors, sometimes giving up a little bit of our own peace here and now for the sake of others down the road.
